What does ScoutSheet cost?

$5 per active player per year, sold in blocks of 25 players at $125 a block, on a yearly subscription paid by card. A player counts as active the first time the check-in desk gives them a number in a license year, so players you import who never come to tryouts cost nothing. A league's first 10 active players are free.

What counts as an active player?

A player becomes active the first time the check-in desk numbers them in an Eval Group during the license year. Each player counts once a year however many tryouts or sessions they attend.

  • Free: importing players, setup, Eval Group signups, moving players between groups, and walk-ups who never get a number.
  • Counted: a player numbered at check-in, once per license year.
  • Given back: a check-in undone before the player has any score.

The license year follows your season. It starts the day after your league's age cutoff date (September 1 for the usual August 31 cutoff), whatever day you subscribed.

What would my league pay?

  • A league that numbers 140 players at tryouts needs 6 blocks (150 players): $750 a year.
  • A league that numbers 591 players needs 24 blocks (600 players): $3,000 a year.
  • A league trying ScoutSheet out with a handful of players pays nothing for its first 10.

Larger leagues and districts can ask for a custom yearly price.

What happens if we run out of room on tryout day?

The check-in desk stops numbering new players and says how many the license covers. An Admin can add a block from the league's billing page, charged to the card on file for the rest of the year, and the desk can go on as soon as the charge goes through. Nothing else stops: evaluators keep scoring, scores keep syncing, and reports and exports keep working.

How do we pay, renew or cancel?

  • Pay by credit or debit card through Stripe's secure checkout. ScoutSheet never sees the card number.
  • The subscription renews yearly. You can change the number of blocks for the next year at any time.
  • Cancel from the billing page: the license runs to the end of the paid year, and your league's data stays yours.
  • If a renewal charge fails, the paid license keeps working for 30 days while you update the card.

The details are in the terms of service, and what Stripe holds is in the privacy policy.

Ready to run your next tryout?

A league board member asks for a league, and the operator approves it. You are then the league's first Admin and can invite your check-in volunteers.
